As of June 2026, the main benefits available to foreign workers in South Korea (including E-9 and H-2 visa holders) are as follows:
✅ Minimum Wage Protection
The 2026 minimum hourly wage is KRW 10,320.
Foreign workers are entitled to the same wage protection as Korean workers.
✅ Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance
Medical expenses and compensation are provided for work-related accidents or occupational illnesses.
✅ Support from the Ministry of Employment and Labor
Free consultations are available regarding unpaid wages, unfair dismissal, and working conditions.
Foreign Worker Support Centers are in operation to assist migrant workers.
✅ Korean Language and Legal Education Programs
Free or low-cost Korean language classes are available.
Programs are provided to help foreign workers adapt to life in Korea and understand Korean laws.
✅ Expansion of Employment Opportunities for Foreign Workers
